Wheel chair basketball

In our P.E session, we played wheel chair basketball which is a game especially made for people with leg disabilities. At the beginning of the period, the game was explained to us by two professional wheel chair basketball players Mark and Mii who play for the New Zealand wheel breakers. The game was explained in depth about the rules and strategies that we could use after we learnt the rules and strategies we then practised them in the wheel chairs our class was built up evenly which meant that everyone had a wheel chair.

Image result for wheelchair basketballMy level of engagement was an merit have chosen this grade because I think that my actions in the game were at an merit level as well as my teamwork participation, The grade merit that I have graded myself is based on participation and engagement at a medium level which I think that I did because throughout the lesson from start to finish I was engaged and put in 100% effort towards the sport that i never knew ow to play. The three key factors that influenced me were challenge, sense of achievement and fun and enjoyment.

Challenge this factor is a positive factor because the sport wheel chair basketball was very unfamiliar to me because I had never heard or played the game, But when the instructors talk to us about it, it sounded fun. When they gave us a turn I found it really complicated and challenging but later on i soon got the hang of it a example Is when did a shooting drill were we had to carry the ball to the hop a perform a shot this was hard because it was quite hard pushing a shooting at the same time.

My second factor is Sense of achievement, This factor is a positive factor and is extremely important in the role of wheel chair basket ball because when I learnt how to play a game of wheel chair basketball I felt a sense of achievement because I had just learn't how to play a game which I had no knowledge of. An example of a time when i felt a the sense of achievement while playing wheel chair basketball was when i shot a goal an the ball went into the hoop the was a huge excitement for me.

My final factor which I have chosen is fun and enjoyment which is a positive factor I have chosen this factor because throughout the time of playing and learning wheel chair basketball I enjoyed every second and I think that if wheel chair basketball wasn't fun then I wouldn't have tried as harder than I did, An example of my favourite thing about wheel chair basket ball is riding the wheel chair a manoeuvring through players


Childhood Games

Image result for childhood gamesIn our P.E session today we played a variety of games the games we played were octopus, leap frog, four square, skipping and hopscotch these games were very familiar to all of us, my favourite game we played was octopus because it was fun and It was my favourite when I was little. When playing these game I think that my level of engagement was at merit level, I have chosen this grade because when playing these game I was engaged and focused throughout the lesson.

The three major factor that influenced me was fun and enjoyment, equipment and environment I have chosen these factor because I think that these factor had driven me to perform at a merit level,

Fun and enjoyment which is a positive factor, This factor Is the most influential factor because liking the game I was able to play by the rules and have fun because I enjoyed the game secondly equipment which is a negative factor, I have chosen this factor because when I first entered the rec I had no P.E gear and since it was an assessment this meant that it would affect my grade this making me try harder to make up for not bring the correct gear.

My final factor that I have chosen is environment which is a positive factor i have chosen this factor because since we were playing in the rec it wasn't so hot this meaning that I could play for a longer period of time without getting hot faster were if I was outside I would get hotter faster making me more tired and won't try harder than I would have in the rec.

Softball

Today for our p.e assessment we played softball. In softball the equipment that is needed are 4 bases, a softball bat, a softball and fielding gloves. In our class we were split into which played each other. In the game of softball each of the two teams have to bat the ball as far as they can, then running as fast as they can to each of the 4 bases, 1st base, 2nd base, 3rd base and home, If they mange to reach each base in order with out getting out a point is added to that team. Where the team which is fielding that have to either catch a ball on a full or tag a player with the ball, the team with the most points by the end wins.

My participation and engagement in the game softball was played at a merit level, i have graded myself at this level because I was engaged at all times and our team also won. there were many key factors that helped my participation and engagement increase which is fun and enjoyment, challenge and experience, i have chosen these three because were the most influential in my activity.

Fun and enjoyment i have chosen this factor because it influenced me to try harder, because the game softball is one of many of my favorite games and by the game being so fun influenced me to run faster and hit the ball harder, This is a positive factor because it increased my level engagement in a good way by increase my skills.

challenge this second factor motivated me to challenge myself and see if i could get a home run, this factor made me more focused with the pitch being thrown the challenge of hitting the ball made me focus more in trying to hit a home run, with the factor challenge of the pitch it made me succeed in being able to get a home run where as having an easy pitch the outcomes of the bat may be different.

Previous experience my final factor helped me with familiarisation with the rules and strategies which could help me in the game this was a huge factor because with all the previous experience that i had i was able say that i knew the rules and strategies involved with game of softball.

Volleyball

In our P.E session, we played volleyball for our 1.1 assessment We were being assessed on our participation, The equipment that was needed to play this game was a volleyball net and a volleyball. The game is played worldwide with a team of 6 on the court the aim of this game is to hit the volleyball over to the other side and make it hit their ground. Thier are three major moves that are used in volleyball, The dig which is a pass where you use the majority of your arm with your elbow facing the ground and your hand placed on top of each other with your thumbs tucked in to hit the ball, this pass is usually the first pass used, which helps increase the height of the ball. The second pass used is a called set, this pass links with the third move called a spike, A set is when a player receives the ball from a height where he is able to use his fingers to boost the ball in the direction of a player, which the ball must be a fair height to spike, The third move spike is used to smash the ball onto the opposition side, this happens because the force applied when hitting the ball is strong it increase the speed of the balls travel.

My participation throughout the whole period was at merit level I have chosen this grade because I was able to perform all of these moves correctly and participated at my full ability, although my grade was affected by the lack of sports wear I still think strongly that I deserve this, The three factors that influenced me were classmates, experience and fun and enjoyment I have chosen each of these factors because they've affected my participation immensely.

Classmates this factor is my key factor of participation because when playing this game, my fellow classmate were not interested in playing because we were winning this making the game boring, although this happening our team managed to influence the other team in try harder by doing this it made the game more fun and also helped the other peer's in getting a better grade, the factor classmates 
in this game a positive effect on all of us because we motivated and influenced each other.

My second-factor experience help my performance in a great way, because by knowing strategies, game play and moves in boosted my confidence and made me more excited to play this also with experience I was able to share my knowledge with other peers, this being also positive for me because I was focused and my peers because it made them more familiar with the sport.

My final factor fun and enjoyment relates with experiences because with my knowledge I was able to have more fun and enjoy myself because I was able to just play without waiting for our teacher to explain which made our game-time longer, By having a longer time period it meant that we had more time to play and have fun.

Zumba

Image result for zumbaZumba is an activity where you dance, today in our p.e lesson we participated in this activity, During our practical, our teacher put a video of Zumba that we had to follow, we did this activity because our class was begin grade on our participation in unfamiliar sports. The grade that I have given myself is an A for achieved I have chosen this because during the lesson I didn't participate at my full ability.

The three factors that influenced me are friends and classmates I have chosen this factors because during the beginning of the session I was not contributing but when I saw my fellow classmates doing the dance it influenced me to do the dance as well. My second factor that I have chosen is The sense of achievement I have chosen this factor because by doing the activity it gave me a sense of achievement because if I did not do it then my assessment for that activity would be poor. My third and final factor that I have chosen is a challenge I have chosen this because it was challenging for me to dance in front of everyone, But eventually, i did it this factor challenge links back to the sense of achievement that I felt.

In the future, something that I could do better to influence me and my peers is to encourage them to try it out if this does not work then I will do the dance routine myself and show them that it is not hard.



Projectile Motion

Image result for projectile motionProjectile Motion is something that is at flight e.g a plane or a paper being flung, The three factors that are needed are speed, height, and angle of release these factors decide whether the projectile goes further than the others e.g if there is someone with a greater height than the opposition in shot put then the man with the greater heights shot put will go further than the shorter mans shot put.

Ki-o-rahi

Kī-o-rahi is a ball sport played in New Zealand with a small round ball, The game is widely known in Māori communities and is played in Locations throughout the country. It is a fast-paced sport with skills similar to Australian Rules and rugby union, Two teams of seven players play on a circular field divided into zones, and score points by touching the 'pou' which is boundary markers and hitting a central target The game is played with varying rules( e.g. number of people, size of field, tag ripping rules, depending on where it is played in. A process called Tatu, before the game, determines which rules the two teams will use.

My Level of engagement and participation during this game was at Merit, I have chosen this grade because throughout the game i was focused and interactive from start to finish. Also I have never played ki-o-rahi before so I think that I participate good and followed the rules. The three factors that influenced me the most are challenge,environment and fun and enjoyment. 

Challenge I have chosen this because the challenge of learning a new sport was hard for me but i think that i did really well as i explained earlier. The second factors that has influenced me was environment I have chosen this factors because we had to play our sport outside where it was windy and cold. The last factor enjoyment I have chosen this because I like the game ki-o-rahi and when we played it was fun.
